 Since 1967, Chaffin’s Barn Dinner Theatre has been offering the Nashville audiences exciting top quality professional theatre and a mouth - watering buffet. The Barn was Nashville’s first Professional Theatre and continues to produce top quality comedies, musicals and mysteries.
We are located in a countryside setting just on the outskirts of Nashville, and are proud of our long - held family tradition of making our patrons feel ‘right at home’.
But don’t let the home-spun charm fool you. Chaffin’s Barn is Nashville’s Oldest Professional Theatre. After you enjoy a scrumptious feast from our Southern Style Buffet, Salad Bar, and Home Made Desserts, you will be impressed and delighted as you sit back and see some of the area’s most talented performers in a live Broadway Style show.
 Chaffin’s is family owned and has a comfortable relaxed atmosphere for your guaranteed enjoyment. We offer two stages, our Mainstage, which operates year round, and our Backstage, which is on a part time basis, giving you a choice of shows and styles.
Both theatres are an equal entertainment value for the same price, offering our delicious buffet, and a pleasant evening for everyone. And, it’s all under one roof!

| Remember those wonderful comedies of the fifties and sixties? This play is firmly in that tradition. George and Helen are a middle aged couple whose children have finally left the nest. They are finally alone together, but not for long. All three sons come charging back home after experiencing some hard knocks in the real world (one even bringing along a friend), and Mom and Dad have quite a time pushing them out again! |

This empty nest gone awry comedy is directed by Dietz Osborne. Barn audiences are familiar with Osborne as an actor having appeared in such productions as BoeingBoeing!, A Country Carol, Sorry Wrong Chimney!, Death Trap and most recently, Dearly Beloved.
Osborne directed last spring's hilarious comedy, Saving Grace and our inaugural show, Snowderella for our summer plays for children series.
He has also co-written, along with Nate Eppler, this summer's wonderful play for children, AFishaFrogPotatoTurnip which he will also direct. |
